HHS FBLA Represents at SLC

On February 18th, advisor David Teleposky and 16 FBLA members participated in the NJ FBLA State Leadership Conference in Harrah's Resort, Atlantic City. Members engaged in an exciting day of conferences, competitions, and networking with other members from across the state. The competitions included speaking events and objective tests with some events have over a hundred competitors. Two HHS FBLA members, Sree Chinta and Jasman Singh, presented speeches to the 2,500 members at the conference and were part of a caucus where they heard the diverse opinions of many high school students about the potential improvements that could be made to the organization. Ultimately, 5 students managed to place at SLC and are now eligible to participate in the National Leadership Conference in Atlanta, GA this summer:

Sree Chinta- 1st in Introduction to Business

Jasman Singh- 4th in Introduction to Financial Math

Ali Husaini, Mehdi Husaini, and Jay Vaingankar- 1st in Banking and Financial Systems

All students had a great time and are looking forward to SLC next year!
